Temple of the Tomb Raider

October 14th, 2000

News from the ongoing production of the Tomb Raider movie at the Pinewood Studios tell about some nice Indy homage to come. Currently the sets are build including the massive interior of a temple at the big 007 stage for the big final at the end of the movie. Another set has the interior of a giant cave where Lara is supposed to find a piece of an ancient artifact. About 30 tons of water will be used in this scene which will show a tunnel flooding somewhat like in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.

Want some plot rumors? An ancient artifact (possibly the mask of Alexander the Great) which is the key to the hidden stuff (the temple?) is broken in two halfs and hidden in different parts of the world. Lara basically has to find these two parts and use the key for whatever. It would not be Lara Croft if she didn't have to fight quite a few bad guys while doing so.
